CANNABIS IS LEGAL FOR ADULT USE IN NEW JERSEY!

ADULTS 21 AND OVER CAN NOW PURCHASE CANNABIS FLOWER, EDIBLES, AND OTHER PRODUCTS AT ANY NEW JERSEY LICENSED FACILITY, OR HAVE IT DELIVERED.

MEDICAL MARIJUANA CARD HOLDERS ARE PRIORITIZED AND ADULT USE CURRENTLY HAS SELECT TIME SLOTS FOR PURCHASE.

CANNABIS IS CURRENTLY A CASH ONLY BUSINESS, ALLOWING UP TO 1 OUNCE PURCHASED AT A TIME.

*Some retail businesses can perform a cashless ATM transaction with a debit card.

IT IS ILLEGAL TO CARRY LEGAL CANNABIS FROM NJ OUTSIDE NJ.

CONSUMPTION REMAINS ILLEGAL WHEN IN A VEHICLE OR IN THE PUBLIC BUT CAN BE LEGALLY CONSUMED IN YOUR OWN HOME AND PROPERTY.

YOUR RIGHTS REMAIN PROTECTED ON YOUR OWN PROPERTY.

CANNABIS IS PROFITABLE

NJ CANNABIS SALES FOR ADULT USE ARE TAXED 6.625% WITH THE LICENSING BOROUGH RETAINING 2% OF ALL TAX!

ESTIMATES SUGGEST NJ CANNABIS SALES WILL HIT $2 BILLION ANNUALLY BY 2026.

PITMAN COULD SELL LICENSES FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: CULTIVATION, MANUFACTURING, WHOLESALE, DISTRIBUTION, RETAIL, AND/OR DELIVERY, AND KEEP 2% OF EVERY SALE MADE FROM EVERY LINE OF BUSINESS!

ALL LICENSES ARE SUBJECT TO ANNUAL RENEWAL FEES THAT THE BOROUGH ALSO RETAINS.

A SINGLE RETAIL BUSINESS SELLING $15,000 A DAY IN ADULT USE CANNABIS, EQUATING TO $5,475,000 ANNUALLY, GENERATES $109,500 IN TAX REVENUE FOR PITMAN’S GENERAL FUND!

AND THAT’S NOT COUNTING THEIR APPLICATION FEE OR ANNUAL RENEWAL FEE!!!

How Could Pitman Spend Cannabis Revenue?

*Ensure to speak to your health care practitioner regarding any casual cannabis usage and if you could benefit from a Medical Marijuana License. A license would expand your benefits and rights within the State of New Jersey. Find a participating Health Care Provider here.

Those expanded rights include:

  • Medical Marijuana Licensed card holders are prioritized at retail centers.

  • Ability to purchase up to 3 ounces at a time every 30 days

  • Sales Tax for Medical Marijuana will be phased out by July 2022.

  • Smoking and consumption outside the confines of your home or property. *Local laws prohibiting smoking in public will also apply to cannabis.

  • Potential allowances regarding drug testing at your employment. Consult your HR department for any company policies, and legal council for any protective laws you may require.

DELTA-8 AND DELTA-9 THC

  • The 2018 Hemp Farm Bill permits products containing Delta-8 THC federally legal for sale and consumption.

  • To remain federally legal, all products made for sale and consumption must contain no more that 0.3% Delta-9 THC.

  • Both D-8 and D-9 products are legal for sale and consumption in New Jersey, can be bought locally or online, and can be consumed openly.

  • Delta-9 THC is the most abundant and intoxicating cannabinoid in marijuana.

  • Delta-8 THC is a less common cannabinoid, harder to produce, and is derived from hemp. It can produce euphoria when consumed but is significantly weaker than D-9 THC.

BOTH DELTA-8 AND DELTA-9 THC ARE ALREADY SOLD IN PITMAN BUSINESSES!
